The Next Big Thing

‘The Next Big Thing’ Blog-tag

A big thanks to Emma Briant, who tagged me!

I had to answer these ten little questions:

1 What is the working title of your book?
Giving Up the Ghost: Spooky Tales of Haunted Objects. Though that may change as I'm making a two-fer with some ghost hunting advice thrown in.

2 Where did the idea come from for the book?
I wrote years ago about a friend/fellow paranormal researcher who collected haunted objects. The post was incredibly popular so I thought a book would feed the need of those looking for more information.

3 What genre does your book fall under?
Paranormal

4 Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
Since it's a variety of stories, I'd have an ensemble cast. Daniel Craig would, naturally, be my love interest.

5 What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
Is that clown doll looking at you funny?

6 Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
It's slated for a Fall 2013 or Spring 2014 release with Llewellyn Publishing.

7 How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
Since it's nonfiction, it will take me about three months to complete.

8 What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
There's a great book called Haunted Objects: Stories of Ghosts on Your Shelf by Christopher Balzano and I love the Possessed Possession series by Ed Okonowicz.

9 Who or What inspired you to write this book?
I've been researching and writing about ghosts for over twenty years. I've seen a lot of odd things and heard about of even more so wanted to share what I've learned with a curious public.

10 What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
Not only stories will be featured but also the history of haunted objects, how to do your own investigation, jinxed items.

Now I’m going to tag the following wonderful writers:

Please visit their blogs. They will be publishing their answers to the same questions on Monday, October 29th.

Message for the tagged authors and interested others:
