There was a gorgeous middle-aged woman who lived in a shoe...

I think this sums up my homelife pretty well. ;) NaNo, as always, will be a challenge between the five girls & husband, a half-constructed house and my natural inclination to wander off in search of low-carb chocolate goodness. Besides, the short story sale is rev'ing my engines toward the ZOMBIE DATING GUIDE -- I can't wait to get started!

Now, what are y'all planning? Tick toc, people!

Big thanks to Inkygirl.com for the comic!

  1. I'll be working on my current WIP. I'm in the planning stage at the mo, and hope to have it ready to write by Nov 1st. :-)

(I actually have a couple of k written already, but I shan't be counting them.)

It's a fantasy about a centuries (or possibly millennia) old bloke, wot can jump between planes of existence.

  2. I love that idea! Hmmm, what century does he start off in, I wonder? Any steampunk in the works?

  3. He doesn't jump through time, only planes, and I don't intend to flashback. :-)

Still, the planes vary wildly, so a steampunk type place is doable... and I do love steampunk... :D

  6. Steampunk is teh awesome! So much to be explored and twisted, you'll be excellent at it!

PS. Yup, steampunk is doable. There'll also be high fantasy, and maybe some urban fantasy. ;)

  12. Excellent! Would you like to be in the zombie guide or in a ghost story (in case the guide doesn't reach 50k, I'm planning backup)?

  13. Ooh! A choice!

I'll say the zombie guide, as they freak me out SLIGHTLY less than ghosts. :D

    Anyone else like a role?

  16. I'm not planning anything. Hah!

I do love the image though. :)

  17. I've done both: pantsing and outlining and failed miserably at outlining. This year I'm only doing the chapter headings for ZDG and vague ideas for the ghost stories to keep on track.
