Learning when to quit
It takes bravado to quit mid-way through a project. Many writers have hard drives or drawers full of novels that sputtered out in the twelfth chapter and trunked with a vague promise to one day return and make everything right. But we don't. We move on. We change our viewpoint and grow as a person and a writer. We pivot and look to another horizon to settle our brains and try to fulfill a need. So why do we feel failure when we decide to leave something that was once important?
